Celebrating National Student-Athlete Day

April 6, 2020 - The Stonehill Athletic Department celebrates National Student-Athlete Day by representing each program with a quote from a student-athlete.

National Student-Athlete, was created in 1987 by the National Consortium for Academics and Sports (NCAS), officially renamed the Institute for Sport & Social Justice (ISSJ). Celebrated annually April 6th, National Student-Athlete Day honors high school and college student-athletes who have achieved excellence in academics and athletics, while having made significant contribution to their schools and communities

One student-athlete from each program answered the following questions to celebrate National Student-Athlete Day:
- What is your favorite athletic memory?
- If you were speaking to an incoming freshman or recruit, what is one piece of advice that you would give to future Skyhawks?
- From an academic standpoint, who has been influential in your academic pursuits and why?
