EASTON, Mass. (May 4, 2017) – The Stonehill College Student-Athlete Advisory Committee held its first-ever Stonehill College Rock-A-Thon in front of the Sally Blair Ames Sports Complex on Friday, April 28 to benefit the Make-A-Wish program. The Rock-A-Thon involved six purple rocking chairs and they were constantly in motion from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Members of the Stonehill community, including various departments and athletic teams split time slots throughout the day raising a grand total of $6,500.00 with the hopes of hosting a Make-A-Wish reveal on campus during next academic year.

EASTON, Mass. (February 14, 2017) - Stonehill College hosted a Special Olympics qualifying basketball tournament on Saturday, February 11 in the Sally Blair Ames Sports Complex where around 40 teams competed for a chance to represent Massachusetts at the State Games.
Stonehill College student-athletes and the Stonehill and Easton communities volunteered their time and energy scoring, cheering, keeping time, and announcing during the five-court event that ran all day. The event has been run for more than 10 years at Stonehill College.

(February 3, 2017) - Stonehill College has announced its Athletic Director’s Honor Roll for the Fall 2016 semester, recognizing 260 student-athletes who have earned a semester grade point average of 3.20 or higher. Each of Stonehill’s intercollegiate athletic programs were represented on this semester’s list, with every team harboring at least five student-athletes named on the list of academic excellence.
EASTON, Mass. (January 30, 2017) - Stonehill College is saddened to hear the news of Robert West’s passing last week. West served as head volleyball coach at Stonehill from 1987-90 and later assistant women’s basketball coach under Stonehill Hall of Famer Kelly Hart from 1999-2001.

EASTON, Mass. (January 24, 2017) - The Stonehill College baseball team hosted its first blood drive this year on Wednesday, January 18 to accompany its annual Blood Bowl best of seven game series the team plays each and every fall.
In response to the blood drive, 38 people, including Stonehill and Easton community members and the baseball team donated their time and blood to help save roughly 114 lives.

(December 16, 2016) - The Stonehill College women's soccer and field hockey teams joined forces to volunteer their time on Wednesday, December 14 (Reading Day) at My Brother's Keeper in Easton, Massachusetts. This holiday season, the non-profit organization will serve around 3,000 families in and around Easton.
The group wrapped and organized gifts and food in the warehouse, aka 'Santa's Workshop', in preparation for that days' deliveries. They then packed up the trucks and distributed the packages to families in need while spreading some holiday cheer along the way.
